Connie Hagen

Connie Hagen embarked on her professional journey in the mid-90s when a Houston-based drug testing firm recruited her to establish their presence in Longview, Texas. Driven by a commitment to unparalleled customer service, Connie joined the Substance Abuse Professional Administration Association (SAPAA) in Washington, D.C., as a charter member, focusing on enhancing standards for third-party administrators in the drug testing field. In her prior role as Marketing Research Director for the national publication “Drug Testing News” in Austin, Texas, Connie orchestrated content for a CBS TV series episode titled “Eye to Eye with Connie Chung.” This episode, which highlighted attempts by certain Department of Transportation drivers to evade drug tests, garnered national attention.

Connie is dedicated to educating supervisors, as mandated by the Department of Transportation, on recognizing signs of substance abuse in the workplace and effectively managing suspected cases. Her involvement with the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) underscores her active role in the sector.
